Records In My Life: Lower Dens

Northern Transmissions and Boutique Empire present the Lower Dens episode of Records In My Life.

Jana and Nate from the band Lower Dens joined us backstage before their show at the Rickshaw here in Vancouver. The two discuss some of their favorite albums, from the more elegant compositions of Messiaen to the soul of Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder, the two were charming and funny (despite being crammed for time due to touring issues). Check it out!

This Lower Dens episode of Records In My Life references the following titles:
1. Terry Riley - Reed Streams
2. Arthur Russell - World of Echoes
3. Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Volume II
4. Stevie Wonder - Hotter Than July
5. Curtis Mayfield - There's No Place Like America Today
6. Olivier Messiaen - 4 Feuillets inedits per ondo Martenot e pianoforte
